Bill Charmatz's love of animals was one of his most pronounced, most obvious characteristics. He loved animals and had dogs all his life, but he also loved cats. His abstract "Cat" series represents a very personal side of the artist. Horses, with their power and strength, combined with wild spirit and grace, were a common theme throughout the Charmatz body of work.
